A very unusual species of compact Aroid. The leaves are 4 to 5 cms long and the flowers which is deep purple brown attains twice the size of the leaves. Single rhizome produces many flowers one after another.

Tropical to sun-tropical. Plant them in greenhouses or conservatories in cold climate. Requires humus rich soil compost with equal amount of horticultural sand mixed and keep wet during the growing season and dry when dormant.
