Dicentra spectabilis is a species of flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae, native to Siberia, northern China, Korea and Japan. Its blooms are most commonly vibrant rose-pink with white tips, though white selections are also available. These blossoms appear against a backdrop of coarsely toothed, sea green foliage. Flowering time Late Spring to Early summer. Flowering height 2'- 4'/ 0.6m- 1.2m Planting 1. Grows best in fertile soil with average drainage. 2. Though they can be grown under sun, high temperature is not advisable. 3. Sandy soil with organic matter.
